SIRAM is a system of artificial vision applied to reading and recognition of license plates, using algorithms based on
techniques of neuronal networks.

From its start-up, in 1999, SIRAM has continued evolving in a continuous way becoming, in 2003, the first system of
reading and recognition of license plates, totally IP, developed in Spain.

SIRAM's great differential advantages as system IP, opposite to the traditional analogical systems of license plates
reading, can be summarized in a greater flexibility, scalability and simplicity installation. The main applications can be
classified in two big groups:

• Applications of accesses control:for example, in parkings and garages just as entrances of vehicles in public and private precincts as industries or residential zones.
• Applications of traffic:as applications for calculation of time in roads or cities displacements, control of tolls, borders,
  public roadway, applications for red point, identification of vehicles driving in bus lane or restricted access zones.
